Beginners? No Way!
Dr. Lori Barr, M.D. taught a marvelous class and everyone had a rollicking good time and learned some amazing stuff. One thing that became clear, however, is that the name I suggested, “Optimism for Beginners,” was a complete misfire.
“I almost didn’t sign up,” each of the attendees told me privately, “because it sounded like ‘Optimism for Dummies.’ But this class was VERY advanced. Wow!”
The class voted that the new name had to be The Biology of Optimism. “Because of the science,” they added. “The science and research Dr. Barr presented and the examples and steps she gave us were like nothing we’d ever seen.”
Obviously, none of these people were beginners at Optimism.
I know when I’m licked. The new name?
Biology of Optimism, of course.
I’ll leave it up to them to explain their nickname.
