Welcome! I am Dr. Lori Barr, diagnostic imaging expert, mentor, professional speaker, and author of two books, Tame Your Mind, Save Your Life and Handbook of Pediatric Imaging.
More importantly, I am a wife, mother and volunteer, just like you. I juggle the same professional and personal activities. I walk the fine line of moderation so that my spirit, mind and body are nourished and replenished. I grow, reach, fail and try again, just like you.
There is one thing about me that may not be just like you. I am very comfortable with who I am and why I am here. I know that I have five attributes that combine uniquely in me. I am creative, gifted, curious, grounded and faithful. I know what lens I view the world through and where my allegiance lies. How about you?
When I moved back to Texas, I decided that any invitation I entertained to lecture, serve or write, I would accept purely out of my love for the subject. If I wasn’t passionate about it, it wasn’t worth my time. One thing I learned, there is always time to be grateful.
